We are thankful to God for providing us a venue through Arise and Shine Academy/Community Church. We are also grateful for the warm welcome of the church members, school employees and volunteer parents and for the very hospitable families who have taken care of us while we are in the area.
This is Pastor Noel Alberto, Senior Pastor of Arise and Shine Community Church and Administrator at Arise and Shine Academy. We are blessed to meet and work with this man, whose God's grace has been displayed in his very own life.
The Medical mission proper starts at 9'o clock in the morning but people starts getting in line for the registration as early as they can. When we arrive at the venue people are already packed outside the building.
The people who seek the free medical, dental and surgical services are asked to fill out a form where they will write the basic information about them. These volunteers then take their vital sign, which helps the doctor determine their health condition.
One of the information the patients are to indicate includes their religion, which helps the counselors when they talk to them. This stage is the opportunity we take to be able to share Jesus Christ to the patients, which is the very heart of this mission. After this the ushers escort them to either 2nd floor of the building, where dental services are done or the 3rd floor, where surgery, and medical service are done and free reading glasses are given.
