This video should be an eye-opener to all of us who joins and is planning to join a short term missions trip. We spend a lot of money just for plane tickets alone but is missions truly in your heart? Do we focus only on the temporal impact and not the eternal impact of what we are about to do. Do we desire to honor the Lord by proclaiming His good news? Are we desiring to bring these people to Worship the Lord? Missions trip is not an out of town vacation. Missionaries should be prepared to serve and not be served. Missions is not a feel-good activity. It is honoring the Lord through serving and proclaiming the gospel to the lost.

So the question, are short-terms missions trips good? Absolutely! Short-term missionaries are great encouragement to the local workers and long term missionaries. While it may be true that long-term missionaries have a greater impact to their surrounding community, short-term missionaries have a long-term impact as well. This why we should be wise in choosing a missions organization to support and join or else it will the missions trip will be in vain.
