Our training yesterday, which was lead by Pastor Tony Gatdula, was about servant leadership. It was a wonderful discussion and was a good reminder how we are missionaries should be a good servant leader. The seven marks of a servant leader are summarized as follow:
1. A good servant-leader is known by his sacrificial service.
2. A good servant-leader is characterized by meekness.
3. Effective leaders are readers.
4. Servant leaders never lead for themselves. They are stewards in faithful service to another.
5. A Christian leader is committed to living in truth.
6. Leaders redeem the time and make themselves available.
7. A servant-leader's desire for life is the motive for losing it (John Piper)
We are about two weeks away until the missions trip to Baguio City Philippines.
